3. Communications: Response to emails on this topic may take up to a week. Therefore, parents are requested to read through the information provided here and on the MOEMS website before contacting us.

Note:
  1. This program is only open for those students whose school does not participate in MOEMS. If your school participates in the MOEMS, we will refund your registration fee and cancel your registration.
  2. On the day of the tournament, please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time specially if you are traveling from far off places.
  3. There is no separate registration/check-in etc. required from your end on the day of the tournament.
  4. The results will be provided once we receive the same from MOEMS. Sometimes it may take more than a few weeks, before we receive the results.

About MOEMS

Overview
​
Math Olympiad for Elementary and Middle school students was created in 1977 by Dr. George Lenchner, an internationally known math educator. Last year nearly 170,000 students from 6,000 teams worldwide participated in the Olympiads.

Objective of this test
  • To stimulate enthusiasm and a love for Mathematics
  • To introduce important Mathematical concepts
  • To teach major strategies for problem solving
  • To develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems
  • To strengthen Mathematical intuition
  • To foster Mathematical creativity and ingenuity
  • To provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges

Structure of the contest
  • Five contests will be held between Nov 2019- Mar 2020
  • Each contests will have 5 problems (1 point each)
  • Results for the contest will be available within a week
  • Awards will be announced by MOEMS after all contest results have been received by them

  •  Perfect score: Dr. George Lenchner Award - Bronze Medallion
  • Top scorer: Highest Individual Scorer Trophy 
  • Top 2% of all participants in each division: Gold logo pin
  • Top 8% of all participants in each division: Silver logo pin
  • Top 50% of all participants in each division: Embroidered Patch
  • All participants: Certificate of Participation
